Breast augmentation in Abu Dhabi
Breast augmentation adds volume and can improve proportion or asymmetry. At Elyzee Hospital, Dr. Miguel Bravo plans the operation around your chest dimensions, existing breast tissue and goals. Implant size is one part of that discussion; skin quality, nipple position and the support available from your tissues matter too.
Implants, fat transfer and a breast lift
An implant can provide a more predictable increase in volume. For selected patients, Dr. Bravo combines implants with fat transfer to soften transitions or refine the contour. The fat is collected through liposuction; some of it is reabsorbed, and further treatment may be needed. Fat transfer cannot guarantee a particular cleavage shape or eliminate rippling.
If your main concern is sagging or nipple position, adding an implant may not address it adequately. A breast lift may be considered separately or together with augmentation. Our breast lift versus augmentation guide explains how these choices differ.
Implant position and internal support
Dr. Bravo uses techniques including dual-plane placement and internal tissue support when appropriate. Dual-plane placement positions part of the implant beneath the chest muscle. The choice of pocket depends on your anatomy and the trade-offs, including tissue coverage and movement with muscle contraction.
An internal bra refers to techniques that support the tissues or breast fold, using sutures and, in selected circumstances, an additional supporting material. It is not needed for every patient and cannot prevent all stretching, implant movement or future sagging. The proposed technique and any material are discussed specifically before surgery.
Safety and long-term planning
Implants are not lifetime devices. Complications can include capsular contracture, rupture, infection, changes in sensation, visible rippling or an unsatisfactory position. Further surgery may be needed. Before deciding, we discuss implant-specific risks, monitoring and how future pregnancy or breastfeeding plans may affect your choice.
Recovery and aftercare
Operation time varies with the planned technique and any additional fat transfer or lift. Return to desk work, driving, lifting children and exercise are separate decisions based on your recovery. Follow your instructions on the support bra, wound care and activity; swelling and breast position take time to settle.
