What is Fat Transfer?
Fat Transfer (also known as Fat Grafting or Lipofilling) is a procedure that uses your body's own natural tissue to restore volume and shape. Unlike implants or temporary fillers, living fat integrates with your body, providing results that are soft, natural-feeling, and long-lasting.
The 3-Step Process
Dr. Bravo uses a "Closed System" technique to ensure the highest fat survival rate:
1. Gentle Harvesting (Liposuction) We do not just "remove" fat; we harvest it carefully to keep the cells alive. Using low-pressure liposuction, Dr. Bravo collects fat from donor sites like the abdomen, flanks, or thighs, simultaneously contouring those areas.
2. Purification The harvested fat is processed to remove oil, blood, and water. This leaves only pure, concentrated micro-fat cells and stem cells, which are crucial for long-term survival.
3. Precision Injection Using tiny cannulas, Dr. Bravo layers the fat into the recipient area. This "micro-droplet" technique ensures each fat cell has a blood supply, preventing lumps and maximizing the amount of fat that stays permanently.
Common Treatment Areas
Buttocks (BBL): For shaping, lifting, and filling hip dips. Dr. Bravo uses Ultrasound Guidance here to ensure absolute safety.
Breasts: For subtle augmentation, cleavage enhancement, or hiding implant rippling (Hybrid Breast Augmentation).
Face: To refill hollow temples, cheeks, and deep folds, replacing the "gaunt" look of aging with youthful volume.
Hands: To plunge thinning skin on the back of the hands, hiding visible veins and tendons.
Why Choose Fat Transfer?
100% Natural: No risk of allergic reaction or rejection.
Dual Result: You get liposuction in one area and volume in another.
Stem Cell Benefits: The transferred fat is rich in stem cells, which often improves the skin quality overlying the treated area (The "Stem Cell Glow").
Recovery
Donor Site: You will wear a compression garment on the liposuction areas for 4–6 weeks.
Recipient Site: The treated area (breast/buttocks) must be protected from pressure. You should avoid sleeping on or sitting directly on the grafted area for 3 weeks to allow the blood vessels to connect to the new fat cells.
