Restoring Masculine Confidence
Gynecomastia (enlarged male breasts) is a common condition affecting nearly 50% of men at some point in their lives. Whether caused by genetics, hormonal fluctuations, or medication, it often resists diet and exercise.
Dr. Miguel Bravo approaches this surgery not just as "tissue removal," but as Chest Sculpting. The goal is not merely to make the chest smaller, but to contour it into a square, masculine pectoral shape that looks natural in a fitted shirt or at the beach.
The Dual-Action Technique
To achieve the best aesthetic result, Dr. Bravo typically combines two techniques in a single procedure:
Gland Excision: The firm, rubbery glandular tissue behind the nipple cannot be removed with liposuction alone. Dr. Bravo removes this surgically through a tiny, discrete incision on the edge of the areola (where the dark skin meets the light skin), making the scar virtually invisible.
Chest Contouring (Liposuction): To prevent a "caved-in" look, Dr. Bravo performs liposuction around the gland and towards the armpit. This blends the chest contour seamlessly with the rest of the torso, ensuring a flat and uniform result.
Treating "Puffy Nipples"
Many patients suffer specifically from puffy or protruding areolas. Dr. Bravo’s technique directly addresses this by removing the underlying gland pushing the skin outward. Once the tissue is removed, the nipple retracts and lies flat against the chest wall.
Recovery & Results
Immediate Result: You will see a flatter chest immediately after surgery.
Compression: A specialized vest must be worn for 3–4 weeks to reduce swelling and help the skin tighten over the new contour.
Downtime: Most patients feel well enough to return to desk work in just 3–5 days. Gym activities usually resume in 3 weeks.
